Have a question, spotted something that needs fixing, or have an idea for the site? I’d be glad to hear from you. I’m Angus Chen, and I maintain Minguo.tw from Taiwan. This is a one-person project, so your email comes directly to me: admin@minguo.tw

How I can help

Spotted a mistake?

Corrections are always welcome. If a date, era name or holiday does not look right, please tell me which page you were using and what you expected to see. The converters are generated from data rather than entered by hand, so one useful report can help me improve the site for everyone.

Need help reading a date?

If a date format on a document is confusing, send it exactly as it appears and I’ll do my best to explain it. For your privacy, please do not send photographs of identity documents, residence permits or anything containing an ID number. A simple description such as “my card shows 115/07/29” is enough.

Have an idea?

I’m also happy to hear suggestions for new guides or tools. If you work on something related and would like to collaborate, please say hello. I’m especially interested in ideas that make Taiwanese dates and paperwork easier to understand for people who are new to them.

A quick note

Minguo.tw is an independent, unofficial reference site. I cannot access government records, check or expedite an application, or advise on immigration, tax, legal or household-registration matters. For decisions that affect your status, please contact the authority that issued your document.

I read every message and reply when I can. Since Minguo.tw is a side project, it may take me a little while — but your note will reach a real person.
